I saw this person at the UBC Grand Prix, and wonder if it's one of our illustrious members.

It was a fun event, and my first crit race to watch. I wondered why the field got smaller as the race went on, and found out you get kicked out if you're lapped, or deemed to be "no longer in contention". The woman on the left waves a red ping-pong paddle type thing at you, and you must leave the course.

No crashes that I saw, but there was one in the Womens race. They had hay bales around the corners just in case.

is going big on a bike the only way to get you stoked on the sport? what happened to riding with your bros, travelling, and riding unique places, to get people stoked on riding?

fines are useless. there needs to be more punches to the throat.

I recognize the women on the left. Sandy who many many years ago was the pres. of the Central Fraser Valley Cycle Club. Looks like Rich Vigurs to me?????

I saw him at UBC and then again last night in Gastown (sans NSMB jersey). Bet you he's in Burnaby tonight.

Yeah Sandy Harrison. She's one of our best road officials, very easy going even when it was chaotic. Unlike Mike Shea who would lose his mind on us. But as juniors and espoirs, us bad kids knew how to push his buttons.:D
