It was me, I strava'd so hard it gave me telekinetic trail building powers. I've been manipulating the terrain with my mind from 4000km away, just because I have an F-U attitude.
Sincerely,
Toronto.
;)
Seriously though, that much effort just to have it blocked off and have potential charges laid if caught, foolish, especially when there is already trails in the area, or so says trailforks.

There are actually a crazy amount of trails of trails in that park considering it's relatively small size.

If the builder had worked with the Shed Bike Club and SORCE, I'll bet they could have gotten the type of trail they wanted built.

But now the Corp of Delta is PO; on behalf of mtn bikers who regularly ride here,
Thanks… :(

I'm sure we'll be able to work it out with the Corp. It won't threaten mtb'ing in the shed.

Google "Strava heat map".

Ride, don't slide.

I heard the interview, drove me nuts that the CBC guy was alluding to tension between mtb'ers and hikers, referencing how 'bad' things were on the NS.

It was good to hear the Delta folks say that there is no tension, everyone gets along well. Just like on the NS !

“The municipality built windy trails, bridges and jumps and most of the cyclists in here are wonderful people. They look out for you and you never feel scared because they’re always here.”

Thank you Marjorie.

So this is what passes for news now.
Weren't we arguing about rogue builders way back when I was a rogue builder in the early 2000's? Then I got called a newb because the real rogue builders were the guys building the shed in the 90's.

As long as no one messes with the step up pit, I'm happy.

Please don't slander the Gravity Bowl by calling it a mere step up pit. ;)

Or do you mean the other step up?

Oh man, the gravity bowl is legendary!
I've pulled many an injured buddy out of that pit when they ran out of skillz at the exact wrong moment. But regardless of it's propensity for unjuring people, it's still a lot of fun to hit it at speed and ramp up the other side.

What I'm talking about is, the step up off the south-east trail near the fire station. On the Strava map above, it's the one that runs parallel to Scott rd in the lower right corner. I think the SBC may have adopted that trail, but don't quote me on it.
