I think it was a bear

On the bad boys trail, that's the one that is parallel to the cut part of the highway under the power line. Lots of blackberry bushes. But in my headlamp it looked like it had light coloured ears and face markings. Initially I thought is was a raccoon but it was about twice that size. Did not get a good look at it as it ambled off into a trail. I waited up the trail to see if it might reappear and it didn't so I went into the bush a bit and saw it run off toward the highway. I would guess it was only about 75 pounds. If it was a bear perhaps there was a mother bear around but I did not see one and left the area.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Do you mean to tell me that there are bears in the forest fattening up on berries right now?

Somebody should do something about this.

Unacceptable in this day and age.

Kn.

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.

Fuck no. I would not have gone looking for that. I swear to god though the critter looked like a red panda, which is ludicrous. The facial colouring looked like that though. I saw what looked like white ears and a light coloured mask which as I said looked like a raccoon at first but it was too large and bulky. I thought it was a dog but again that was based on colour but it was too bulky for a dog. Had to be a really light coloured and very young small black bear.

In all seriousness, I think that may be what I saw.

Are you sure it wasn't a big coyote?

It sounds like what you saw alright! Cool if that's what it was.
