We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

the Q factor when pedaling is ridiculous. Pedaling for a long time would render most people crippled.

I still want one, especially with a 155cc BRAP!

I wonder how MTB suspension can handle the extra weight, I've been thinking how fun a light weight moto would be for urban lately…been in contact with the manufacturer of same style engine from Japan but it is a daytona190cc 4valve 20hp brap monster lol… sans pedals.

Here's a crazy idea.

Commute on a 500 dollar commuter bike and go mountainbiking on a proper 2500 dollar mountainbike. Where you going to put that monster once you get to your cubicle anyways?

^^^^ i have all, as well. And participate in the pedal pletny. Its more of an urban toy or moto trails with a different feel. Having the 50cc would make it easy for some one with out a class 6, and make hilly commuting a breeze. If it keeps the pedals it really is covered by not being illegal in any way, AFAIK. It would also be an epic trail builders tool. They could buzz up and pedal down, increasing productivity at an insane pace.
I looked at the stealth electrics, and they are lottery winner pricey in comparison.

Meet a guy self shuttling in Pemby last year with a SUV, dual sport bike on a hitch carrier and a dh bike on the roof rack. Left the moto at the bottom and hid the mtb while retrieving the SUV.

So-called E-Bikes are all the rage over here - on the streets especially (think pedestrians on bikes, usually in the retirement age), and a few weeks ago I saw two rather overweight dudes in front of the locbal ice-cream shop, sipping a cappucino, having a cigarette while talking about their latest and greatest hardtail mtb complete with a large battery thing and a slightly bigger bb shell.

I do not know what to think of such bikes. Seriously, they are out to have as much fun as I do - but somehow it is odd, no? I smoked once too, and was definitely in a worse shape than I am now, and I do not want to come across as an arrogant POS, but still, somehow it is just odd.
