Hey, I could possibly, proboably not, but maybe moving to Australia, whats the riding like over there? dirt jumps, downhill? any pictures or vids? thanks , any other info would be great too!

Well, in the Sydney area, there's lots of great riding around the Northern beaches. I live in the Manly area, and I know of a dirt jump area within riding distance of my house, as well as people attempts to build some stunts (but they keep getting trashed by morons at night).
In terms of natural freeriding, there's some fairly heavy stuff here and there…
One place called Lizard Rock has got some good scary lines and a health dose of airtime.
The trails around here are Red Hill, Oxford Falls, Manly Dam…
There's also the Blue Mountains, Mt York, Royal National Park, Ouribah, Wisemans Ferry.
I don't have any photos or vids on me… but I'm sure they exist. You'll probably find some joy at www.mtb-oz.com … that's got photos and vids.
Where do you think you'll be living when you get out here?

where are you comming to in aus?
umm… in adelaide, we have train runs, which are pretty much short dh runs with a train shuttle to the top. there are also a lot of roof drops and some nice stairgaps if you look hard enough. In the hills, there are many quarries with drops up to about 40ft. So basically, adelaide's good if you like to jump off stuff. Dunno about teh XC riding here, since I do none…:rolleyes:

There's good riding in and around Brisbane, with alot of guys building Shore style.
I noticed you're a Surrey boy, me too, been living down here for about 4 years now…it rocks. Although i miss going to Canucks games and of course North Van.:thepimp:
