Tim Jones has stated there was a slide on the back side of grouse mountain yesterday. He recommeds that people stay out of the area for the time being.

Has anyone heard or seen where the slide was?

Pretty sure he means the Haynes Creek area. It's a hike (somehting all of you need to do at least once. It's incredible). Shouldn't affect biking.

Yah, it is an awesome hike, esp crown pass. I was wondering if anyone knew for sure where the slide came down, and whether it blocked haynes creek.

I would guess on the north aspect of Goat - pretty steep terrain, probably still heavily loaded since it doesn't get much sun. Nice valley for sure

Slide, (rock dirt trees debris etc.), or avalanche (snow)?

Judging from the article it's a slide, with potential for avalanche too:

"It's hardly music to the ear of an outdoor enthusiast but Tim Jones with North Shore Rescue recommends hikers stay out of the backcountry, after a slide hit the back of Grouse Mountain yesterday. He says there is potential for slide areas, with a combination of rock, mud and snow-type releases in some of these areas."
