Hi,
I remember a while back someone posting a thread about "the cheapest gear is your repaired gear", or something to that effect. Does anyone remember the name of the shop that could do that sort of work? I seem to recall it was somewhere on Lonsdale.
I'm looking to replace a zipper on a pair of my riding shorts, and maybe alter a pair of bibs.

DCH Sewing & Repair on Garden between Welch and 1st. She can fix/alter almost anything.
Recently did a great job fixing some blown stitches on my elbow pads.
For simple stuff the lady who does the alterations at my local laundromat has done some great work. It's not always pretty but if it holds my gloves together for another couple of months it's good.
There's a luggage repair place across from MEC on Broadway that's good for zippers and heavier stitch work.

Dont forget to use their warranty departments if you can.
The stitching on one of my Dakine Slayers came apart and Dakine replaced both pads free of charge - turnaround was 10 days.
Their site makes it really easy to submit warranty claims - all photos were uploaded from my phone. They contacted me in 2 days to let me know they were going to warranty and gave me the code to re-order inc free shipping. I had to do zero work in the physical world.
