Well, we all know of a Good Sir Martin rider who could do away with that old tree attractant….

Tried the parking lot out for the first time on Monday night when I only had an hour from 7 pm til 8 pm before I had to be home to finish a work proposal. It was great in that it likley allowed me an extra lap of Floppy Bunny that I might not have had time for if I had been riding up from the mall.
Lot was maybe half full, all with mountain bikers as far as I could tell. Nice setup. Good work District of North Van.
Its great for a few quick laps but overall I am a little disappointed with the hours. I was hoping for a 6 am til 10 pm timeframe to allow those before and after work rides for those of us with young kids.
Hopefully they will adjust the times like mentioned above…..6 AM to 10PM
Same it would be nice to be able to get in a ride before work and not being felt rushed after getting home at 6.
I was just thinking how cool it would be if there were a For the Kids level climbing only trail connected to Bobsled. It would be a fun little noobie loop, and allow those who still ride in to avoid being dusted by cars going to and from the lot!

that was the plan originally but now I see no mention of it on any docs
Just wondering if Natural High is still open and how to access it from the new parking lot? I looked for trail access at the back of the parking lot but didn't see anything.

There isn't proper access from what I can tell, but if you look down off the back (east) end of the parking lot you will see the start of the trail with a low ladder bridge. You can walk down the embankment to it.
I clearly haven't ridden Fromme at all since very early May. First time seeing the lot. Seems nice if I am bringing my kids, but the trails dump me way lower than the parking lot like many of you.
Seems like an early close to the lot. I needed lights for the ride and I was done at 9:30pm. Hopefully they extend the parking time to 10PM.
Does anyone know if it is in the DNV's plan to plant cedar and doug fir trees all around parking lot where the mulch has been thrown down? Seems like they could of saved quite a few trees but would like to see the area surrounding the lot back to a more natural state in a couple years.
this seems appropriate here:
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Awesome video of Mussatto riding the bike lift here.
Closed by 7pm. What a joke; makes an otherwise good resource unusable to the target user groups.

Big deal. Do what you were doing up until 2 months ago and park your car on the street and ride up. The trails aren't closed after 7pm.
I like the lot and it sure is popular. It was full on Saturday when we went for a ride.
I counted 60 cars in the lot. The lot should hold the 75 cars it was designed for with some lines painted on the lock blocks. Vehicles end up a bit spaced out without the guidance.
Overall the lot seems to be something the community is using. Definitely not for everyone as many have said, but I think I will plan on it being full on nice days and go early if I have the kids with me. Otherwise, like many here I happily ride up the hill or the climbing trail.
