Hello all!

As many of you know, the DNV will be working on a lot of the trails on Fromme Mtn. They received a grant from the government to update and work on the current trail network. Most of the trail crew personnel are mountain bike riders as well.

I'm just posting this thread to give you guys updates on the DNV trail work progress, some photos to show the work and some info on work to come. I thought some of you here might interested in what's happening on the mountain and where the work is happening.

I'll be posting more as time goes by.

Enjoy!

Lower Crippler Re-route
One section of the trail was badly compromising the root system of some 100+ feet trees and had some drainage issues as well as rotten bridges.

Start of the new bridge (70 foot bridge, 3 feet wide)

Rock work at the beginning of the bridge (old section came out on the right of the rock work)

Bridge finished

Braemar trail drainage, steps and new boardwalk

Cedar trail re-route section

Entrance start of work
(new section goes to the left, old one used to go to the right)

Entrance finished

Mid section finished

Exit to old trail

Baden Powell

New bridge/boardwalk

Start of work on a very eroded portion

After rock work finished

New boardwalk in progress

didnt know nsmb was only for pros

its not, its only for dicks.

Very nice, money well spent. Now if only that 70ft bridge was 2ft wide that would be sweet. Nice pictures and thanks for the update.

Just ride down the middle and pretend it's 1ft wide ;)

Yeah, 2 feet bridges would be nice but on such a long span bridge that is on a multi-use trail (mountain bike primary though), it has to be safe for everyone and last a long time. Usually the bridges would be 4-5 feet with hand rails so I think it's not too bad ;)

Stay tuned, I'll be posting more photos and updates as the work gets done!!!

as long as they dont' have handrails, i could care less how wide a multi use bridge is.
