Not sure how excited I am about Pingu/Pangor this week.

I might have to go tape off all the easy go arounds to the skinnies

I am always curious to hear why people do or don't like a particular course. Care to share?

Having a big debate with my crew about if the skinny line is faster or not.

I actually like it alot. The climb is the only place I get to make up time!

So funny how every race will have a complainer about the trail selection. I did some simple math and figured this out, 8 fivers with 3 stages per is 24 trails. Now I would say %95 of the available trails aren't really 'race worthy' in the typical sense so that leaves say 4? Now if Brian were to just repeat the same trails over and over then people would complain about that so its a lose lose. How about everyone is just happy theres a $5 event with free beer and food. Cheers.

The Fivers are awesome, plain and simple. One course may not be to your liking, but that's life - in my case, it is any course with Pipeline on it. I had a bad wreck on it two years ago and now skip the Pipeline-fiver...that's my issue.

T-Mack is totally correct $5 for a race that is well organized, on some of the best trails in the world, alongside some legends of the sport AND you get some food and beer - best deal around! Thank you Brian!

I pre-rode the course last night, the work on Pangor (some extra dirt here and there) is great. Allows for a bit more speed on some sections.

The only one that might be faster is the skinny to rock roll, but i bet that will be taped off. The other skinnys are all fairly parallel with the go around, but you can carry way more speed on the dirt.

Oops, just realised, the race is already past, so never mind.

A bit more climbing than usual (I'm a fattie), but I'm looking forward to the Fiver tonight! Looks like a fun course!

I pre-rode it last night; Pingu is slick and loose...carnage is possible.

There was nothing official on it.

Kinda last minute it was decided to give a chainless option for those that wanted it.

Last night was the Officially Unofficial Fiver World Series Chainless Canadian Regional Championship Cup.

Next year we hope to make it a bigger and better special chainless night.

There is a Facebook group where lots of chitter chatter happens about the Fivers. https://www.facebook.com/groups/244025199321774/

Group Description

A discussion group to talk about tactics and strategies* for incredibly serious racing.

*Bitching about why their time wasn't as fast as it should have been.

**Complaining about the weather.
