Has anyone noticed that there are gaps in the fence?
The trails are not closed. The fences are part of site safety for work being done on Fern Trail. This is part of the wild fire management plan for the area. They're putting in 3 new water tanks for fire fighting too.
Sex Boy and Shore Play will be kept open during construction, including access to Fern.

I hiked it today, fence with open pass throughs for Shoreplay, Sex Boy and SOB on the high side of Fern. There is another on the lower side of Fern for Sex Boy, and maybe another further down at the actual development border.
Water tanks are a good thing.

Indeed, open for business. The fences are only slightly wider than the photo frame of view, so they are very much symbolic. (I tried taking photos from farther back to show this, but the fence mesh becomes hard to see then). They look rather odd though, just a short section of fence in the middle of the forest, no signage or other explanation. Unusual for BPP, as we know they like signage!
