I crashed on Expresso a couple years ago. I had new cleats and didn't commit to the feature. Here's the video of it with my redemption on a later date.

Congrats! Looked smooth when you committed. Always feels awesome conquering a new obstacle.

Nicely done.

I'm with you on the entrance. It always spooks me more than the roll!

Flat's for life (except when racing).

And nice choice on the tune. Was just listening to Apache the other day.

Weird... I just heard the Incredible Bongo Band version for the first time a few days ago, and here it is again.

Also, nice work on the roll.

Nice work on getting back on it.  Last time I rode that I had my front tire slip out a little on the way down, not a complete back but not very graceful either.  One foot on the pedal and one trailing behind me trying not to completely lose it.  Will wait for dry weather to get that one back.

Quick question, how does the Expresso rock roll compare to the rebuilt one on 7th (The Gangler).  Was able to manage the old version, but have yet to get the new one.

Cheers

The one on Expresso is called Express Smooth, btw. Like others have said, once you negotiate the skinny at the entrance, the rest of it is as the name implies. Keep your speed low, tip it over the edge and spot your exit, avoid braking, and you're good to go. The skinny is a classic squirrel-catcher and will keep novices out as well as keeping people from carrying too much speed into it. That doesn't stop some riders from pre-hopping into it, which is impressive and ballsy.

The Gangler, on the other hand, is a janky mess. Totally different type of move since you have to adjust your line part of the way down.

Awesome tune from back in the day. And really nice clean and smooth riding. Hope I can give it a try one day.

I agree The Gangler is totally different in particular the entrance.  The entrance is longer and is on an upward angle, then the descent is curved where the Espresso rock roll is straight down.  I would say that The Gangler is a much more advanced feature, at least for myself.  I won't lie when I say that it scares the hell out of me just approaching it, but I guess that it's all relative.
