hahahha. what can you say to that? it just defies logic.
Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.
they also call me "balloon"

funny how this is seeming to become the norm
wow, a whole letter to the editor, yet he says nothing…..that is the most useless piece of drivel I've read in a long time…..the sad part is that he's actually addressing people who agree with him…that's something to consider…
im just glad that i dont live in a place where a man such as him can actually be in a position of power. i dont care what your political leanings are, there is no excuse for publicly insulting someones intelligence.

when well he just give up and go way.
the outlook is a right wing rag anyways.
If the bikers want a specialized facility so they can jump and stunt bike then they should apply themselves and either build one
i was pretty sure thats what trail building entailed.
we're not even going to respond to that.
I don't even know what this 'jump' biking is…

Hey Ernie, if you're reading this I think it's time you went up to Fromme and took a walk around. Talk to some of the riders, these are your contituents (and your neighbours) that you were elected to represent.
So many freaks, so few circuses.
the outlook is a right wing rag anyways.

Ernie is far from right wing, but I'm not sure what he is.
honestly , i don't mean this in any malicious manner , but i really am beginning to suspect that he is suffering from dementia .
on the one hand i respect him for putting his time in for what he ( thinks ) he believes in , but on the other hand i'm seeing him as an old man with a lust for power and attention , who has found an easy target to make political hay with . . . . .
ernie , i've said this before , but this time i really hope you take heed :
you've done your part . it's time to take a rest , enjoy these golden years . it is a beautiful world out there , get out and see it . . . . .
Ernie is far from right wing, but I'm not sure what he is.
if u have your left wingers…
and some people are your right wingers…
then im guessing Ernie is the guy who has his head up the chickens ASS…
hahaahahaah…..
I work with a guy who used to work with Ernie in the shipyards. He is a communist I am told by my co-worker. He was very strong into the union then. Hence, I would say he is left wing. (And a nut case after watching that last council meeting.)
Thread killer

Also Ernie you may want to talk to the other councillors who seem to have grasped the situation. Maybe your personality dictates that you be an "island" in a river and it is all you know - I don't really care.
I have a very smart business friend who is selling his business right now. He refused to enter into a negotiation with a potential buyer until he knew more than the buyers, so he took a crash course on selling a business - talked to all the relevant people, read all the correct books, learned EVERYTHING there is to know about selling a business. This way he would also have a correct answer (or at least access to one)
My feeling is that you couldn't care less about mt biking and the people that do it (contrary to what you say). You have not informed yourself in the slightest on the subject. Trail building techniques, sustainability of trails in a rainforest environment etc The best way to enforce your points would be to gain credibilty by walking the trails with members of the outdoor community (great photo op), talking to the local business owners that derive their income from the trail runners, mt bikers, dog walkers, etc. Basically you shoot yourself in the foot every time you speak due to your lack of knowledge.
I heard at the council meeting that you needed to define mt biking so here are some definitions that came up by using a search engine called "google".
1) A mountain bike, mountain bicycle or ATB (All Terrain Bicycle) is a bicycle designed for riding off-road, either on dirt trails or other unpaved environments; in contrast, road bicycles aren't rugged enough for such terrain.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_bike
2) A sturdy bicycle distinguished by wide tires and horizontal handlebars, often used for off-road cycling. Also called dirt bike, trail bike.
3) a bicycle with a sturdy frame and fat tires; originally designed for riding in mountainous country
Glad we got that out of the way.
Finally I would love to get a hold of some of these "jump bikers". With all these established trail user groups getting along so well now I would hate for a "jump biker" or "extreme stunt biker" to upset the apple cart.
