I heard that there are some rangers on e-bikes patrolling CBC parking lot today. Didn't see them myself though.

Why would they be patrolling the lot?
cuz it's on Park land. Go to TrailForks see what see the boundaries.
The CBC parking lot is the public lot at the last Switch back no? Unless the OP is referring to the ones who park at the transmitter building, which makes sense.
Verified - I saw them coming out of Old Buck - Kona E-bikes Saturday afternoon.
How much are the tickets for riding where you aren't supposed to? I assume they are actually nabbing people?
And is riding where you are not supposed to limited to darkside? If you're hitting an unsanctioned loamer on generally sanctioned land will a chase ensue? Prob pretty easy to outrun these guys on a tech downhill trail - plan your escape route!

Why would they be patrolling the lot?
Because people tend to park there and ride unsanctioned trails. Or so I have been told.
Maybe they’re filming a new Kokanee commercial?
Anyone know the fine amounts? Just need to adjust my consumables budget for the year.
I think it's $125.
I hope they start nailing those fuckers riding the east side of Seymour. Guys are assholes. "Oh, I didn't see a sign saying no bikes."
And then everyone whines about e-bikes...

Well that's one opinion. I dont think people will stop riding loamers, despite signs or fines.

Ain't nobody going to stop riding the Darkside unless the same trail experience is provided legally.
