Here are some of my snaps, looking forward to seeing Jen's
It all started with a Big Pile of Rocks at the entrance (thanks to the District):
Some of the rocks were used to do this:
And this, a new beginner entrance:
This was the old line, but it got braided around after the tree fell:
The old line was restored and improved with a little more flow:
The first of a series of four small jumps gets some attention:
The end result being enjoyed:
The second of the small jumps needed some re-enforcement and a big assed rock moved on the tranny (see left side), so who are you going to call, well Crofty and Co (see other photos posted by Straya):
And ended up like this:
Entrance to third jump, before:
Entrance to third jump, after:
The tranny on the third jump before the trail fairies got to it:
Finished tranny on the third jump, looking pretty smooth:
Rob to Karen, hmmm I think we should put a bridge right here:
Voila! A new bridge is born:
Oh and another one:
Oh my, another bridge, this one with a sweat little kicker:
A roll between two old stumps needed some attention (awww, look a mud bunny!):
The end result:
A motley but pretty happy crew (thanks for coming out everyone):
The amount of work that was done today was staggering. This trail must be one of the best little beginner/intermediate jump trails on the north shore.
Thanks to Steed for keeping the unwashed feed and stoked for more in the afternoon.
Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.
