so BC has the best riding hand down so a lot of u must be good jumpers. My problem is when i leave he lip of the jump i kind of dont stay with the bike. I do no footers just about everytime. I do biiger jumps and its getting kind of scary. I think my problem is i don't pull up on my handlebars when i reach the lip so I'm going up in the air, but my bike is going up with me. please hel my cause im getting tired of this.
Thanx
Dirt Jumping tips from u crazy Canucks
when you're in the air, suck the bike up under you using your bars and your pedals…. just kinda tuck it in, if u know what i mean…. straight legs dont work so well.
^^^ and kind of hop off the lip! jumping is really had to explain!
try to do something in the air like a whip or table to make you stay on your bike.
I think what your doing is leaving the lip too forward on your bike, so try centering your body over the bike wiht bent arms and legs to absorb any impact.
and what you want to do is if you have ever ghosted ridden your bike, youll notice that it goes in an arc; well that arc is what you want to follow. So your sort of on the bike for the ride and you kind of let it take you not you wrestle it to get it in the air, because if it wants to go in the air, it will.
Im not saying let ur bike take over, dont get me wrong you have to be in complete control but its the relaxedness that will get you the smooth flow and it will come wiht practise.

might be helpfull to learn bunnyhops if you havent already, good practice on pedal feel and technique on how to keep the bike sucked up to you and under your control
don't be stiff. just flow with the bike.
Can a non-crazy Canuck answer your question? There are some talented Yankee's on this bb you know.
ride full tilt at the jump, then just before the jump, hop off the back and run/slow down and let your bike go flying off the jump.

this is a very good method for a few reasons.
you can go fast at the biggest set of jumps you can find, look ready and approach with confidence and then ditch your bike and shoot it 15 feet into the air. Later you can act dissapointed for your mechanical difficulties that caused you to eject from the bike. everyone will think you are core for making your bike fly:)
