Hey

Whats the deal with the Whistler Air DH? The one down A line?
Is that for pros only or can anyone enter that?

Also the Bear Mountain race……is that still on and if so when?

Thanks..

You can just show up and buy a one day race lisence ($7-10) and pay the late fees that they will add to the registration for the race. Your best bet is to preregister, It is cheaper and will save you nothing but time, especailly at the mission race because it is the busyest race of the year and you will spend a long time in line(you can preregister @ the events website which you can find on the cycling bc calander)
Of course if you are going to do a few races buy a cycling bc race lisence. they are about 90 bucks but you can't do Canada cups or Nationals (which are supposed to be in whislter). I found this to be the easiest way even if it cost me more over the whole season who don't need to waste 30min filling out forms every time you race.

Oh one last thing, the off road calander, don't count on what it says now to be what is going to happen. I usually changes a few times between now and the summer

I have never run into a cut off for a Dh race. Most big xc races will have a cut off of say 800 people or something, but I don't believe dh races do. The only thing close to that is DS/4x where 60 junoirs will sign up but they need to cut it down to 32 (so it can work out for head to head racing and not have any buys), after one qualifying run they only take the top 32 times.

I do belive that this year there will be no day of race registration because it delays the start of the race to much

on the calander under all the phone # and emials there will be a web address. It probably won't be up until 3-4 weeks before an event. Most of the races last year had it so you could sign up online, but some you had to print off a registration form and fax/mail it to them.

http://www.bearmountainchallenge.com is the one for bear mountain… well, it was last year. It'll be updated closer to race time.

You just click the "register for this race" thing on that page, and you can pre-register, then at the race you can pick up a day license.

Bear mountain was june 1st weekend last year.
