Sign up for the Shed Bike Club and become informed on the future of the Delta Watershed regarding mountain bike trails.

As you may or not know, the Delta Watershed recently had its tightly knit network of trails chainsawed regardless of a working agreement with the Shed Bike Club.

Despite being on a Friday night, they hope for a great turnout and need one. If you're interested in coming, please do so. Feel free to bring your parents, friends, and family.

I've been somewhat following the happening at the Shed and I'm not sure if this has been brought up.

I live in Victoria and maybe Corp of Delta could look into what how the Victoria Capital Regional District works with the South Island Mountain Bike Assoc (Simbs.com). Although some people here in Victoria do not like SIMBS and the reasons why they can't build stunts in the park (The Dump), they do have a good working relationship with the CRD and have being able to go ahead and start building some stunts early last year. As for any Corp., liability issues are important to them. SIMBS has been able to show CRD what their idea of quality stunts are and this reinsurance has paid off down the line. Its sometimes better to be slow and steady, than having nothing to ride at all.

I may live in Seattle, but I am a citizen of the world. That lil' neck o' the woods (BC) is a very BIG part of my world, even if I've ridden very little of it @ all.
That's about to change for the better.
Hope I can add The Shed to my "survived that ride" list some day!! :rawr:
