So, after a great day of riding Cypress (and closing down even more frickin braid lines on the trails!!), saw a rather interesting "event" on the way to the pub at around 2:30

On the Hwy 1 exit ramp leading up to Cypress Bowl road, cops had blocked the exit and there were at least 10 Lamborghinis lined up along the exit ramp. Two cop cars blocking the top of the exit and another cop truck at the bottom of the exit. A sea of gull-wing doors reaching for the sky, cars, drivers and cops all over the place and the exit was pretty much closed off for anyone else westbound trying to get to Cypress.

Be interesting to learn just what the heck was going on …

Thursday night was shut down the grad party night with a blockade at the worksyard.

Must be easy living being a cop in WV, chasing 18 year olds and lamborghini's

Heard a funny story from an RCMP member about the west van cops:

"So I was talking to a guy in west van the other day, one of the only members in his dept who has discharged his service sidearm on duty. He was attending a car accident where a jag had hit a dog. The dog was still alive, caught in the front wheel well of the car. He was struggling trying to free the dog, when he realised the only solution was to euthanize the dog. He unholstered his weapon, and took aim at the dog. In an effort to protecy himself, he looked away as he pulled the trigger. Unfortunately his aim was poor and the bullet hit the car's tire causing an explosion. The dog was freed and ran into the bush, never to be seen again. The outcome was a bill received by the department for repairs to the jag."

Hmmm, I saw three Lambo's plus a Porsche GT (probably $2million worth of motor in total!) heading south over Lions Gate bridge on Sunday afternoon. I guess this must have been shortly after Ken spotted them.
I suspect it was this:

Maybe the Lambo's were crashing the Porsche party…

Before the lambo convention, there was a porsche festival up there somewhere. Standing at the first switchback, I saw about 60 or so heading up. Pretty crazy! Even some super old ones. After that came the lambos.

The porsches are probably part of the Bob's Breakfast Club (or something like that), which is a ride up to squamish for porsche owners, and it's the third sunday morning of every month.

hmmmm…On my way to Fromme Saturday, there were 5 or so Ferraris that pulled out on Georgia St and came behind me over the Lions Gate. Lots of $$$$$$ cars out over the weekend on the shore apparently.
