i'm still trying to remain optimistic that once the Oyl's are gone Cypress will reopen their bike park and jump into it with both feet..

it would be such a waste of resources and effort to not reopen.. after purchases all the bikelifts and getting all the infrestructure in place..

lets just hope, they see the potential for a bike park thats closer then Whistler..

im for sure a seasons pass buyer if they open.. it would be nice to get lift access, without having to do the Sea to sky every weekend…

p.s. it cant hurt to fire off emails to Cypress to express ur interest in the bike park reopening… the more they are aware of potential customers the better…

I agree. While Whistler will always be the best for lift access riding, a closer location would definitely interest me. The sea to sky highway used to be so fun to drive on. Now it's a pain in the ass.

I hope it does reopen as I never had a chance to get there when it was up and running. Heard good things though.

I have never been, but think I would go on a solo day instead of pedaling up Frommage.

The start has been kinda frustrating but they have a fast lift and lots of potential. You can do a lot with 1000ft of vert - just look at places like Diablo back east. So I'm still hopeful for 09

By the time they theoretically "could open"
Ownership will have been transferred
And the new owner doesn't see mountain biking as something that is "profitable"

Well Sea to Sky should be good by this up and coming season…
supposedly it's going to be done in may, should cut the travel time to whistler quite handsomely.
