The one in the picture looks even bigger because of its thick winter coat.

Look at those feet! Gotta' love those feet!

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

Bobcats and Lynx are different species. Lynxes tend to be larger than bobcats. They can grow up to 22 in at the shoulder and 42 in length, about the size of a medium-sized dog (eg slightly above the size of a breed-standard pitbull - 21 inches at the withers). The one in the picture looks even bigger because of its thick winter coat.

Bobcats are Lynx, but a Lynx isn't necessarily a Bobcat.
Or so says wiki:

Sounds like the largest bobcats are in New England and Eastern Canada.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobcat#Physical_characteristics

The largest bobcat accurately measured on record weighed 22.2 kg (49 lb), although unverified reports have them reaching 27 kg (60 lb).[24] Furthermore, a June 20, 2012 report of a New Hampshire roadkill specimen listed the animal's weight at 27 kg (60 lb).[25] The largest-bodied bobcats are from eastern Canada and northern New England of the subspecies (L. r. gigas),

Most of the bobcats/lynx I've seen are in the South Chilcotin, must be good territory for them. I'm not sure of the species we've been seeing up there, although I'd bet with some searching on BC Gov. sites it would say.
