Just a heads up that a cougar was reported to be spotted at the Hyannis and Berkely trail entrance.
Cougar sighting: lower Seymour
What is the source? A lot of cougar sightings in the LM end up not being cougars. Any tracks or scats to confirm?

Got a report from the neighborhood block watch. Don't know if that was vetted.

One was spotted in a residential area near Eagle in Mort Poody last week.
Wrong. Always.
It is always confusing reading PSA warning about cougar sightings, or aggressive bears.
What do they offer really? No practical advice, just "watch out! You could run into a hell of a scary wild beast that could seriously hurt you! We know it is around here, and it may or may not want to get you! Be scared, they have known to attack… but don't be scared, because attacks are very rare".
All this does is be on my nerves when on the upper trails riding alone. Time do put on that extra layer of armor.

they are always there, you just don't usually see them.
The cougar goes for the out of shape guy at the end of the pack. Easy prey.
Or who ever cause she,s drunk
common sense…..Whats common about sense?!
Was she good looking?
