Just ran into a large cougar and cub on lower floppy. Be backed off in a hurry and didn't see them again. Be careful out there!

WOW! And on lower Floppy to boot. Id expect Crinkum or Kirkford or 7th or fringes, but on Floppy of all places. Maybe they were looking for the Floppy Bunny for breakfast? "the sign said it was this way!!!!!"

The mom turned and growled and the cub ran up a stump on the opposite side of the trail. Luckily the dog was behind us.

Was riding down lower oil can and where it joins baden powell, I heard the distinct sound of claws on wood 30m away and only saw the ferns swaying. It sounded way bigger than a squirrel and if it had been a bear I would have seen it. My wife and I slowly moved along the trail watching our tracks for any followers. I'd say watch your backs and don't ride with your earbuds in.
