How many attempts did it took when you where first riding your now favourite trail to clean it? Post up the trail name, bike and how many attempts.

I'll start

Boogieman - 2001
2000 gt xcr 1000 xc bike with 100mm stem

8 attempts without having to put a foot down, riding all optional lines but I don't remember there being a pile driver.. Took 5 of those eight attempts just to clean the log across the swamp. I can't remember by ass being that far behind the rear wheel since owning that bike.

Post yours!

Clunking is for retards.

I believe I cleaned Boogieman in 2007 on my V-Tach (2nd generation with 888 ATAs). Actually I didn't make it all the way up the climb out of the swamp but I rode all the technical features consecutively including the pile driver. It was quite a victory and one I haven't since repeated.

Goal for 2013: Bookwus[HTML_REMOVED]Ladies[HTML_REMOVED]Lower Ladies in one shot.

And you don't have any memories whatsoever of particular accomplishments? The first time your hit a particular feature or the first time you cleaned some climb??

I managed to clean Roadside Attraction last year after I got my 6+6 bike. The woodwork is still a little scary though!

GMG… Took about 3 years
Circus… Never happened. Took about 20 pokes to get the Ridiculator though.

Once this snow clears, I'm gonna conquer Wardens climb. I have always just gone around it, but now I've got some fitness and a 4.5" 29er (also known as cheating).

Doesn't count unless you slam a beer just before the climb.

The log over move on Grannies has been a love hate. Not sure how many times I messed it up before cleaning it the first time.

haha. which exit is the official line? the first left onto the road is just nasty, the second easy peasy.

Well for Wades this year we had to clear the ugly first exit onto the road to get the bonus points. So beer and first exit is the standard set from that event.

respect. prior to dan building the ridiculator i had cleaned everything but two bits on that trail - individually. putting it all together is heroic. never even considered the ridiculator; do not like heights, no sir.

the uphill skinnies were killers - many failed attempts on the mother tongue and the overpass (steep uphill skinny over root ball onto long uphill log).

spent entirely too much time scaring ourselves and/or falling off features of consequence™ back in the day. good times.

I was failry stoked when I cleaned Cunning Stunts on my Surface this pre-summer. Cuz you know 29ers suck for free-radical stunt cycling.

Oh yeah the day I learnt how to jomp which was like June 21st 2010???

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

that was the first time i actually tried to ride that (with the motivation of tippie yelling in my ear); rode clean till that final pitch; then exploded. you get it done?
