@TheWasp  Climbable by most any fit (non-gravity) rider. Of which there are many.

So back to riding up downhill primary and unsanctioned trails without shame (but at non-peak times with ears and eyes fully open)

ps; "primary" does not mean "only" ;-)

Yeah I rode down it once, and my take was it'd be fine as a climber. Maybe a couple grunty switchbacks but overall if you can climb GSM I don't see why you couldn't climb tnt.

If y'all can clean the climb on that new TNT trail, you're really, really, really fucking strong. Give it a shot and report back.

Already cleaned it in the dry, 24x40, 64 years old. Non-stop Clean to the Cambodia and Jankaritaville cross over trails.

Achievable with 5 second surges followed by barely moving recovery. Which is way more fun to me than the threshold pace grinds up the roads. On days when I am not feeling it, I feel no shame in walking (just makes the days when I do clean an "Impossible Climb" extra special).

I have definitely never been a strength/power rider (based on laboratory testing) and have punched above my weight by relying on technique and strategy.

This is the key to longevity in riding, or anything else really, trying to find fun/joy in what you're doing. If it's just a chore or a means to an end the chances of sticking with it over the long term are low.

That's part of why I don't hate on ebikes, as I know lots of people don't enjoy the climb and the ebike is a way to make it bearable or even fun. We're all out here for the same reason, we just need to find a way to get along while we're doing it.
