he's been doing this for a few years. $14k for this strava killer:

e-bike arguments aside, being tethered to that umbilicus (cable under the seat attaches to the battery pack backpack) seems kinda sketchy.

"disruptive" indeed….nothing like full throttle on Whistler's busiest non-motorized trail areas.

oh shit, that promo is the most cheese laden thing i've seen in a while. narration echo, slomo roostage, gratuitous girl placement… this guy should make mountain bike films.

that vid WAS actually satire, right?

V10 e-throttle on Zappa trails? Seems perfectly reasonable.

well that looks like it'll have some appeal . . . .

for the moto crowd .

i took some offense to his statement to the effect of " without a motor , you can't get to where the really good riding is " .

judging by the way he is ripping up those lost lake trails , the really good riding won't be really good for much longer . . . .

it's an engine plain and simple . go hang with the dirt bike guys if that's what you want .

am i the only one who finds it strange he chose to call it Kranked bikes when in fact theres very little "kranking" going on with a electric bike…

yea i know his film series was Kranked.. (one of my personal fav. MTB film series from back in the day)

Haha that video, hilarious.

Twist throttle, engine, looks like a motorbike to me and thus should not be ridden on non-motorized trails.

Mountain Bike Action magazine has an e-bike version now. Specialized e-enduro on the cover. These atrocities will be on the trails before long.

I will keep my opinions to myself, but I know we're all thinking the same thing about e-bikes.

Until recently he also sold Kranked branded bikes at Canadian Tire. They aren't listed now though. There was a news release/article about it when the brand was launched a few years ago.
