Hey I just wanted to see some opinions from others about riding the trails at night. I'm not quite sure if its a big deal because of the wildlife/ppl????
What do you think?

Seen a couple of deer up there, but otherwise not a lot of anything/one! bike Fromme regularly at night, both in a small group and on my own!

Night…..Day just ride its all good!!
The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?
Mountains are for all to enjoy at anytime….happy riding…

Just be careful not to be abducted by aliens. Again.

Wrong. Always.
and bring lights…bright bright lights

:-p
Back up lights, cel-phone, tin-foil blanket, and of course a ride partner (to throw to the aliens so you can make your getaway)
I heard the Aliens are cutting cats in half
I will test myself up there soon.

I heard that riding Fromme at night triples the amount of silt in ponds, causes deer to have nightmares, increases China's carbon emissions and is the leading cause of tooth decay in kids between the ages of 5 and 7.
I also heard that it kicks ass and to bring a backup light. I got one of those cheep energizer head lamps that I wear around my neck like a necklace. That way if my headlamp craps out I don't have to fish through my pack in the dark looking for my backup. I also usually use the crappy headlamp as my uphill riding light (on red) as it maximizes your battery life on your main light, keeps the weight off your head (If you ride uphill sans helmet like I do on Fromme), helps keep your nightvision ok (on red) and guarantees Bambi will have messed up nightmares when he sees the red one eyed monster slowly cranking up the trail (red not purple, that's another monster).
alright!!!
