i know…i've caused myself major grief in the past trying too hard to ram bolts in so it was time for the pros. i'm sure all they needed to do was use a tap and be patient

It was $20 for Uhaul to install it. If you're that cheap or that macho that you want to do it yourself to save $20 then have at it. I dropped my car off and went for a bike ride then came and got my car after riding and it was done. I'm to old to enjoy spending my saturday crawling around on the ground trying to save $20. I'd rather go ride my bike.

I got you all beat.

Found one on craigslist for 30% what I'd been quoted and I have a macho friend to help install it with/for me.

Next time around, I'll try out the mobile hitch guy and see what he'll charge.

Wow that is cheap! Even a tightwad Scot like myself would pay to have it done for that little.
