Why not just contact the organizers?

I know that over $20 000 has been donated to date, to various groups.

$2 000 went to skin cancer research this year and $1 000 to NSMBA as well as many more initiatives are in progress right now.

BCBR can give you more specific info. Chat with Jeremy Grasby about Cumberland.

Last year Timberwest gave $3500 which was previously paid by BC Bike Race to secure road access to the Cumberland Community Forest Society. Not sure on specifics for this year.

you are actually trying to get the thread back on track.

Dave tell us more about little boy and little girl bikes breaking ;)

I was working neutral service early morning at Earls Cove ferry terminal. Checking brake rotor alignment on a Intense Spyder…

Oh is that a crack developing at the rear brake mount?

So we cut down a bolt to reinforce the frame under the brake mount, JB Weld [HTML_REMOVED] a hairdryer borrowed from a lovely female volley… Hairdryer was necessary to (hopefully) set the JBW as the race was starting in T minus 2 hours.

Never saw the bike again - so either it worked perfect or failed miserably and he's still walking home carrying his bike and his teeth.

Good times.

Yup. That was our motto by the end of the week. Stupid tire jizz everywhere.
