Huh?
It's not that bad, there are a few broken stunts, only 2 I can think of on the whole trail, plus a few bridge sections that could use replacing, but are still completely rideable.
I love this trail, I will be there for sure.
Save the Fish!!
Does the classic keep the classic 5' drops to flat?
or will the starfish see tranny's
I'm disappointed I can't make it out to this one. Love the fish, and the Dark Cycles lunch will be super yummy as usual.

there's actually a lot of broken or close to breaking structures, feels ok when you ride it but when we did the pre-hike and took a close look there's a lot of work to do.

depends on what the people who come out to do the work decide on, but yeah for the most part the idea is to keep the old school gnar.

Yeah,
I guess a lot of Starfish was made in the days of pinner slats and stringers, so a lot of it might be on the brink of breaking.
trailday is tomorrow! I want to be there but need a lift. anyone?

More skinny's on the Starfish.
Entrance cleaned up with a nice drop to clean steep tranny or roll down option. Sets things up nice to show you what the nature of the trail is.
Lots of rotting ladder bridges replaced with milled cedar skinnys. A few things will be harder now than they were before.
Lots of great work done today. Something around 50 people turned out.
MMMMMMM Memphis Blues lunch kicks azz.

thanks everyone for coming out! As Shirk said we actually made some stuff harder so the classic gnar lines are extra gnar-core now! Couple of the trannies have been smoothed out BUT are still fairly flat as before.
Before the hoards of people descend on the trail as is what usually happens after a trailday, please keep in mind that this is a very technical trail and truly deserving of the double black diamond rating and if you have any problem with the new opening feature you're in way over your head :)

how much harder is pink starfish compared to say boogieman?
how much harder is pink starfish compared to say boogieman?
harder for sure, but mostly because the drops are to flat and there's some really techy/scary moves. The trail was originally built with a lot of trials moves in mind. If you can ride Boogieman without too much trouble you should check it out!
