6 Crown Link-Up
June 17/16
Stoked, to finish my epic link-up riding 6 different mountains in the Tri-City and North Shore zones. What's so cool about living in these areas is that you can live in the urban, but still escape to the trails on a bike. After years of riding all these trails. It was fun and hard to complete the full link-up in a day.
There is road riding involved in connecting the mountain bike trails. That's how I got involved in riding, was the ability to pedal from the door and ride Seymour.
Half way through, I bent a shifting cable. I was stuck with a fixed gear on the back but three gears on the front. It was the hottest part of the day climbing up Seymour. More out of the saddle riding than I hoped for.Conditions were prime. With a fresh rain to keep the dirt tacky but not too wet, sunny but cool in the trees.
In the name of tradition.9 speed shifting was used, with a rear road deraileur.26 inch wheels,QR for the seatpost. Plus, I can't afford the latest gear.Listening to my MP3 Walkman.I pulled out The Clash/Hits Back. I forget how good they still are.
