40th birthday ride(s)

Hi everyone! Yes, the big 40 is coming up in May.
I've had all kinds of ideas on what to do but what keeps making it to the top of the list is mountain biking. And 1st place that comes to mind is BC.
I've only been to Vancouver once and loved the city. I'd love to make it up there and welcome 40 with some amazing singletrack.
I have no idea on where to ride, trails etc… I'm looking for any help so I can still get out there and feel young..even at 40. : )
Even better, a local ride or chill group ride to join.
I still race and have been riding for 21 years now.
Any info etc… would be much appreciated.

Yup, that is how I spent my 40th birthday. My wife bought a multi day trip from Spruce Lake Wilderness Adventures (now Tyax Adventures) and invited a bunch of riding buddies along.

if you're coming in may forget the south chilcotins as its high elevation so not usually rideable til late june/july. Another vote for Johnny Smoke at bush pilot biking

I plan to spen my 40th in whistler this coming year, but I might have to wait a week or so after my b-day for the bike trails to open depending on the snow (my b-day is at the end of April). Ten years ago I was lucky enough that the opening weekend for the season was also my b-day weekend.

You should consider coming up to Whistler. :rocker: :rave: :rocker:
