i started using the fb app to track my rides but got tired of it crashing. then i tried strava but since i stop to chat, take breaks, clear trail and do maintenance that didn't really work either. i'd rather be on the bike then write it down.

given that i do anywhere from 2 (winter/kid weeks) to 5 (summer/non-kid weeks) rides/week i was probably around the 150 ride mark for 2012. all lower mainland though. this year i'm hoping to get around the province a bit more. maybe i'll start a spreadsheet or something. or not :P

I don't keep track, but last year I rode mostly Eagle/Burke, lots of SFU, Fromme, Seymour Cypress, lots in fraser valley, up the sea to sky corridor, and then some trips to the okanagan, Kettle crest/Abercrombie, Wenatchee/Leavenworth, Yukon. No Chilcotins or desert riding last year though :(

101 rides.
Pretty slack year considering I rode 150 days the year before. Yikes. :stupid:

Your not allowed to stop while you have strava running? I didn't get that memo. If you use it as a ride tracker it doesn't matter if you stop or not, you know, right?

Strava is the new "serious business"

i tried that, but a lot of people DO use it as a race medium. which is not how i ride, and yeah it was bugging me. not many women use it.

For the first year ever, I'm gonna try to keep track. Sking, moto, trials and trail work seem to be keeping the number of mtb rides low….7 days into the new year.lol.

I didn't ride much last year but I did keep a small track.

22 days on fromme
5 on Burke

This year I wanna hit at least 50 days of trail, to match my massive snowboard season this year.

Clunking is for retards.

Well, if we're all willy-waving…

1 day in WBP in 2012 (which is one day more than 2011…)
A little bit of Seymour, a little bit of Fromme, a little bit of Cypress

But also throw in some SSC, Burke, Pemby, Kamloops, Galbraith, lots of time in Sqish (I even held a KOM for a few weeks at one stage!), Winthrop, Chilcotins, some Whizla valley trails and then round the year out with two trips down to AZ/UT: St George, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona and Tucson.

Not too bad considering I spent a lot of the winter back-country skiing because of the shit weather (too much snow!)

Here's hoping for a early end to Winter…I missed doing JTR last year so is on the must do list for 2013
:D

Cool more bicycle nerds.

Here's 2012, but these numbers are 'laps', not 'rides' because we mostly pedal up. So some numbers are embellished, particularly Squamish.

Seymour(my dark back yard): 122
Cypress: 65
Squampton: 49
Nelson: 14
Pemby: 8 epics, you guys are fucking nuts!
Ledgview: 7
Westbank: 6X Builders Only.
Bear/Red: 6
Whistler: 4
WPB: Triple Play
Westbank: 3 X 14km Smith Creek, awesome!
Rossland: 2 … Carpet tranny whoo hoo!
CastleGnar: 2 …Ok I'm Awake!
Fromme: 1… Dumb and 29er dumber!
Kaslo: 1… Scary monsters!
Sea Wall: 1… 300 lulu babes, win!

Total Cost for repairs, parts and gear including new frame, $5,190 = roughly $23 a lap + energy bars, girls, gas and beer = $47! I have a problem, help me out ladies…

Well I'm 7 days in and have successfully made it into the forest every day. I ride bikes a lot but I'm not going to claim that I rode 150 days in 2012. It's quite possible, but I am just not sure.

Last year was somewhere around 80 rides for me if I had to give a low-ball estimate. Only THREE of those were shuttle assisted, the rest were pedal up/ride down/repeat loops…I feel pretty good about that!
Do I get a handicap because our trails are covered under snow for 5 months of the year? I won't be starting the tally until March or April most likely..

For parralel sports there was 43 days on the snowboard last winter - this season I'm at 8 days so far, planning on 70 days this winter :)

some people do, a lot of people don't. just because others use it a certain way doesn't mean you need to use it a certain way, you can even make all your rides private you know so no one even knows you use it! :)
