Etrounce, I assume the P-knuckle tension spring, the one that swings the cage back. And not a Type 2 derailleur.
need to know: 9 speed or 10 speed?
: what size cage? from both the donor and the XO rear der

Yep, that's the spring I'm talking about, and not a Type 2.
Let's say 9 speed to 9 speed, both short cage.
Since you asked, I'm guessing the cage length and 9 vs 10 speed matters? That is, I can't replace a 9 speed short cage spring with one from a 9 speed long cage, or I can't replace a 10 speed short cage spring with one from a 9 speed short cage spring?
Thanks Lou!

No problem, don't worry about it!
Quick Survey:
26, 27.5 or 29?
what will your new mountain bike be?
Straight up one or the other, for whatever, wherever riding.

26 why would you need any thing else?
The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?
26 or 29, as I'm keeping my current bikes but will likely upgrade the wheels.
wait a minute… aren't we the ones asking Lou??
Nobody's asking, so I thought I would ask….
Loving the 1 x 11 group, any other thoughts?

I'm going full suspension 29er!
Shredding hypothetical gnarr
26" is there any other
I have a 29er but the 26ers gets most of the action. You can't beat the playfulness of 26" wheels.

While I DEFINITELY AGREE about 26" wheels, playful, throw-out-able, nice in slow twisties, they dont climb as good as good as 29 (who cares)…
I have been riding 27.5, and am having a good time!!!!

Loving the idea of my $85 42T OneUp cog (and other suppliers coming out with it) so I dont have to shell out $1200-$1500 to achieve the same result!
