Obsession: Bikes introduces"Ask Crazy Lou"
off the press
Thanks for fondleing my bike, Lou.
I'm not a real smart guy, but if it says [HTML_REMOVED][HTML_REMOVED]tighten[HTML_REMOVED], and I want to loosen it, I'd think I'd go the other way……..
And there is a special tool, no NOT ME!!!!!!, for taking those cups off!
You can borrow mine, or better yet, briing the frame in, and I'll take it off for ya….

If you're taking it off…I'm wearing a blinfold. There are some things that only a doctor and a shower head should see naked.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.
Hey Lou,
What are those metal things that go on the end of housing called? Ferrels? Ferrules? Housing Ends?
Lou, think back to when you reached "hero status" on the mountains of the world famous North Shore.
Back story for y'all: In 2003 Crazy Lou used his "night vision" and hidden Hercules strength to carry my heavy frame (not the bike) down Seymour Mt. and off CBC in the dark of the night. My broken ankle heeled and now works well thanks to Crazy Lou / Local Hero.
Now my question is:
Lou, how did that moment change your life?
last word.
hey lou, thanks for taking care of my fork and shock last week. i came in and picked it up on fri and brought in a cold case of stella's as a thank-you but you weren't there. so i took them home and drank them instead.
cheers buddy!
We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.
Ellen Langer
Mark, I hope that fork and shock work for you!!!

fuel for free riders!
Awesome work Lou. Not sure how you did it but when I got my rear Foes triangle for the shipping and duty costs only; I was stoked. I never expected warrantee considering it's 4 years old and I'm not exactly a recreational rider. It even came with new main bearings, lock bolts and hanger. Sweet!
Obsession rocks and Lou is velvet…..Velvet Lou…..hmmmm NA we'll stick with Crazy Lou
Lou, in your opinion, for a Shore/Whistler bike that is able to pedalled up by a 135 pound kid, would a 1.5" fork be worth the hassle of trying to find a 30mm. 1.5" oversized stem?
Sober
Let's address the stem first……
With a 1.5 Steer tube and 31.8mm bar, the MINIMUM stem length that I have ever seen is 35mm.
As for a SHORE/WHISTLER bike for a 135lb kid……
How strong is the boy? Anything can be pedalled if the will is there!!!!
Hardtail or Duallie?
I NEED MORE INFORMATION!!!!
Crazy Lou
Surely somebody has questions about fork/shock setup.
Custom valving.
Headsets 1.5 versus 1 1/8"
Hayes/Avid/Shimano/Magura/Hope brakes.
Specialized new forks/shocks.
Scott shocks.
Carbon/Aluminum frames.
Bring it on!!!!!
