I just got a reply from their warranty department after several failed attempts, so news of their demise may be overblown???:S

I think that would be correct.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't find any Sombrio stuff on the site and it isn't Friday yet.

No offence to the guys at gogear but I would stay away from the sombrio stuff now that they are bankrupt and after the quality issues I've seen with the new sombrio gear. Unless go gear steps up and offers warranty???

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure go gear and places like it specialize in blowouts and discontinued items. I doubt there's much of a warranty, that's why it's cheap.

Any dealings I've had with the guys at Canadian Cartel (Now GoGear) has always been positive. It's always buyer beware but they have in the past returned an item and also exchanged a size. A luxury because they are local. They obviously aren't going to handle any warranty issues for you but I wouldn't be concerned buying anything from them.

Can you pick up from them? I was going to order a few pairs of socks but the shipping is $11 on a $20 order.

Il second that. I've ordered a few items and had great success. I ordered a pair of OR ski gloves in the wrong size and all I did was email and they fixed it up.

I find some of the small items I pass on because with the shipping it makes no sense unless I order other items to bring the value up to free shipping. If they had smaller shipping charges for the small items (like socks) id order more often.

Just picked up my Sombrio order from the Post Office today.

Impressive packing job. I could tell the box was full, but impressed with how organized the contents inside are, plus the piece of cardboard underneath the taper tape so no butterfingers are able to hack thru their contents is a nice touch.
