A small thing (literally) but for those running DT 240, 440 or 190 ceramic hubs these will make a big engagement difference.

DT Swiss 36-tooth ratchet kit - changes the degree of engagement of your rear hub from 20 degrees to 10 degrees, which results in incredibly fast engagement. And they even save (tiny, 10g) weight for you gram counters.

We have a limited number available (as DT also has limited quantities apparently). $54 per set.

Do you guys have the tools to change the bearings on older DT Swiss hubs?

Are there plans for anything like this on the 340 hubs?

Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.

Hi Craig,

Three of the four bearings are no problem.

If you have a REALLY old Hugi hub then the tool to remove the star ratchet (to get at bearing #4) is increasingly rare.

If you bring the hub in (Tuesday-Saturday) for our mechanic in North Vancouver, Craig, to look at he has access to one of the old tools.

Hi Feral,

The 340's star-ratchet has a smaller ID then the 190, 240 and 440 because it is designed to be used with a steel axle a-la original Hugi design.

Our sources do not believe that anything is in the pipeline for the 340.

Thanks for the info!

The hub is around ~2000 vintage, but the DT Swiss parts guy (in GJ CO) told me it is still a current model used for tandems.

I'll bring it in the next time I'm over in NV.
