my surly travelers check was stolen today from outside of my office in downtown vancouver

pretty unique bike, with s[HTML_REMOVED]s couplers that split the frame in half on the top and down tubes. gold hope hubs, thomson step and post, carbon bars. 1x9 with a paul chainkeeper and bar end shifter

looks just like it does in the picture but with no racks or basket. if you see it, please let me know: boomforealATgmail.com

So sorry for your loss; I'll keep my eyes open.

What kind of lock? Did they leave it behind?

thanks gents

in keeping with my theory that only idiots get their bikes stolen, it wasn't locked; i rode back to my office from a meeting and leaned my bike on the bike rack while fixing a co-workers bike… and then walked away and left it there, unlocked :(

No good deed goes unpunished. Brain fart; that sucks but theft is theft.

I'll keep my eyes open and really hope you get it back.

Not your fault that someone took your bike. We should all be able to leave bikes unlocked. But it ain't a perfect world. I park in an underground locked chain link enclosure. Rachid does too. It's funny. Some of the shitiest bikes have the most locks. My front wheel is worth more than some of them. It's seems very secure though. Never been a theft in the ten years I've been parking there.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

thanks andy. we even have secure, indoor bike parking at work - i'm just too lazy to use it on sunny days, figuring the drab paint job, lack of qr's and ace bike-locking skills would keep it safe

everyone else thinks this is awesome, but i disagree.

it's superlatively sublime.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

Ah that explains why I saw a familiar bike maybe yesterday (could have even been this morning….long week…) with what may have been you on it though. Either way, great news!

I hope that good samaritan had bruised knuckles and some fresh scuffs on the kicking surface of their steel-toed boots.

Mostly just glad you got your bike back.
