Yeah, log your damn serial #'s so my friend (rcmp officer and avid cyclist) can actually grab your bike when he runs the # and it comes up stolen. Help him help you.

Dumb question, but do you need to report to any specific detachment/division of the RCMP or is there a central database? My wife called the non-emergency VPD line to report her bike stolen (see other thread). I assume VPD/RCMP all use a national database for serial numbers?
Yes there is a national database so you can report to your closest detachment and all will see.
