scaring thieves off potentially from posting, for one….but you're right, I guess you could luck out the other way. so roll the dice and do something, or nothing.

I would create a series of alerts on Craigslist for anything that could be attached to your theft. That way if anything like the wheels or the bike gets posted. Even for just 5 minutes a year from now you will get an email notification. (And while you're monitoring Craigslist you can check out the tools section for lead pipes.)

If you put some kind of sticker on the storage door, or on the bike that says "equipped with a gps tracker that can't be removed" would that stop the theft?
