Whistler Parking

So…it's looking good for tomorrow. Last week I parked Creekside and hit Whistler. What do you lot do? Up the hill a little at Blackcomb looked good for a ski-in-ski-out park - no apres-potential on a solo mission anyway.

Cheers, Ben

if you get to lot 7 before 8:00 you'll get a primo spot. Gondola runs until 8, or whenever the tube park closes, so you you could ski down to the village and get the blcm gondola back up to base two.

Looking to ride the shore but don't know where to go?

Good to know. Lot 7 or 8 for Blackcomb. Or lot 5 for village. Last gong show day fitz lift was way quicker than the 30+min gondola waits

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Speaking of local knowledge, has anyone here got the whistler guide book? Looks interesting, if only to name the different lines. I felt seriously noobish trying to work out the way to west bowl with all the signs covered up last week. Although even that book probably wouldn't dare reveal the secret parking stashes.

Nah, I'm pretty sure there's always tons of people and it gets tracked out soooo fast. Not a very good place to ski, honestly.

I have noticed that Mountain FM, the adventure station has substituted the word "powder" for the word "snow". They have claimed powder conditions every day all season long. When really, there was just snow on the ground, usually icy and hard.

I can't stand those super annoying ads for the interior resorts where they mention "champagne powder" every ten seconds when it hasn't snowed in weeks.
