Crusty?

In wind-affected spots. Going for a walk tomorrow to see if the mild Northerly affected slopes

Up 7th - down Cloud Nine - up Bodybag and out. Alpine temps + 4 to 5. Winds nil on S aspects. Light from SE over on Horstman Glacier aspect but blocked from 7th area by ridge.

Variable crust on S aspects of Bodybag. 5 cms crust on pure S and nil crust on SE aspects. HS 70 - 75cms.

Skied out via Sunset Boulevard. Groomers have done fantastic job on the skiout

Had a nice walk into Blackcomb Glacier yesterday. The snow was surprisingly good on north aspects, in spite of the warm temps and reverse-loading I read about. Watch out for crevasses and glide cracks.

Husume has a glide crack that I'm not sure would be visible from the top. Careful if dropping in.

We did the same on Sunday and I was surprised how good it was, especially with the inversion. Saw a bunch of folks going into Spankys and from below the coverage looked better than this time last year. Definitely still holes to watch out for also on Horstman, there's one on Prime Rib below where people were hucking to get to the high traverse over to the t-bar, would not be fun to fall into.

I didn't realize Peak opened last Friday. Forecast is looking solid for this weekend, might be two ski days instead of the ski/bike split this cube dweller has been doing the past few weekends.
