technically, yes… snow should be good, but with the warm temps Avi danger is high in the alpine

Planning on hitting up Blackcomb tomorrow. A good dump of snow in the forecast for tonight, and my buddy who works up there tells me Blackcomb has been pretty quiet lately, with most people heading over to Whistler so they can ski [HTML_REMOVED] watch some of the athletes at the same time. Fingers crossed for a good day.

Sharon was volunteering at the downhill but the comp was cancelled (snow's too soft down low) so she went skiing

The men had a successful training run last Thursday. They managed to sneak it in before it got really stormy!

Many people are involved in getting the course ready, from the course crew, to the slippers and the dye crew. Then the course is ready for the guys!

check it out!

it costs a little more than beer ,sandwiches and a jacket … you gotta house your weasel

this luxury condo with the view at the top of talus wood must be big $$$

I am looking out the window down the valley and it is pissing rain ,this morning they told us 25cms tomorrow up high and it will be a very long day

AND after 8hrs of sidestepping in new ski boots to preserve the track …they are grooming top to bottom which made every step a waste of time [HTML_REMOVED] energy

New boots? Ouch, that hurts to think about.

For those who don't know- the side stepping helps pack the snow down better then any groomer. And flipping sucks to do, it's pretty mind numbing actually.

Definitely setting a new record for fertilizer spreading up there.

How's the on hill beverage consumption?

They just stated on the TV that it's looking good for tomorrows DH. Anyone confirm this?

I just don't trust the CTV Talking Heads when it comes to this.

The boots are pretty fine actualy ,Huge shout out to Jeff at Fanatyk for perfectly matching me up with a set of high end dalbellos that come stock with intuitions which are probably the difference between having moderately sore feet and open blisters … from what I could see they really know what they are doing

I would rather side slip than side step

there are SO many cops everywhere including on the hill… I would not drink or smoke any thing that was not kosher

Having said that I know there were bottles stashed in the woods for the race BEFORE lockdown by the RCMP
