My buddy is coming over from Nanaimo on Saturday and we're contemplating skiing Whistler/Baker or riding on the shore. What are the better knowing folks of NSMB saying about snow conditions?

Both are setting up to be good, but both will be a gong show.

You know when a Red Cross food truck is mobbed by a group of starving people after a naural disaster? Imagine that x1000.

Whistler looks like more reliable snow, but crowds.

If that mega dump tomorrow comes down as mostly snow it will be incredibly epic. Likely less people too. But if it rains it'll totally suck. Depends how much you trust the forecasted freezing level.

I'm taking my son up to Whistler to ski with his buddies tomorrow, but I think I will avoid to gong show on the hill…

Does anyone know what the conditions are around Lost Lake trails? It doesn't look like they are XC skiing there yet. Are the trails rideable? Or is there even enough snow for snow shoeing?

sections of trail under heavy canopy may still be rideable, but overall it will not be fun, finally snowed in the valley yesterday. not enough for xc ski though. welcome to november.

My sis tried to go snowshoeing there last Friday. Visitor centre worker recommended the Callaghan instead

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Thanks for the heads up. Maybe I'll try snowshoeing at Callahan.

Ya we decided against it in the end. Might try a short pedal on Fromme if it's not absolutely deluging

Duffy snowshoeing was excellent in early December. I've heard Callahan was not so well off snow wise over the holidays.

Let's hope for a completely benign fender bender just north of Squamish tomorrow at 6:00AM that closes the highway for ten hours.

Good luck everyone.
