At what freezing level do you guys normally pull the plug? It's supposed to snow down to 1400m tonight and 1500m tomorrow am, but that seems pretty high.

wtf? Glacier Creek is 1500m so that means everything above will be good. Basically all the actual good skiable terrain.

i wont stand in line before the mountain opens if its much mroe than 1300. however 1500 is awesome for this time of year.

yesterday was a fucking banger day in the slack. After 5 years of backcountry i finally got first person down doa. fucking amazing sluff racing, then about 10 turns from the start of the apron to lakeside bowl. Hit husume which was also faceshot fun and same wit disease end of day.

Saturday is the day for me.

Woke up this morning to snowlike substance falling from the sky in the village.

Reductimat [HTML_REMOVED] I did a few am laps of red, Harmony for the better part of the day, 3 bluebird laps off Peak to finish the day. Probably waited 10 chairs max all day

If anyone else tracks their days on the hill, you can now load a kml or kmz file into www.3dwhistler.com

If you are into that sort of thing

monday was one of my best hill days of the season. fresh lines every lap right to the end, even some snow in the face.

How much new snow was in the alpine? Report said 5cms in the morning and that wasn't quite enough to warrant a trip up for me.

Is that number still useful? IE, are they still measuring at Pig Alley?

I've had some fucking amazing days the last couple of weeks, and it's always been in the reported 1cm to 5cm range.

official report was 5cm @ 1600m.
some zones were boot-top and blower on high north aspects, but you had to watch for chickenheads and ice in places. easy to see it coming though. pretty stellar and no one around.

this time of year if it cold and raining in the village, or with any amount of snow in the alpine, its worth going up for a look, sometimes its pretty good and its all yours.

Yeah I guess that number is not really that useful as snow blows around a fair bit. I would have been up but I was tired from my weekend at della. Tough life eh.
