Snowing hard and stayed pretty cold all day, fingers crossed it keeps up

Forecast is for 30ish cms…. then the freezing levels go way high with some rain. Bah.

Snow turned bad midday, terrain closed due to avy risk. Still, I'm satisfied with my 3 good runs.

Yeah, I had a fun few runs in the morning before work too, some awesome, some heavier, classic wet coast!

What's the deal with crystal chair always stopping? Was it really because snowboarders kept yanking on the chair in front of them? The heckling and crowd uproar was amusing.

How do you yank a chair in front of you?

Hold onto the chair passing in front of you as it makes the turn at the bottom of the chair lift. The lifts with the head rest are excellent for this!

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

If so, I yank on 'em all the time and never make them move. Perhaps I'm just gentle.

Perhaps you don't lift bro!

I have a strong feeling that it was some hot shots who were going for the frame, missing and knocking the safety bar. That is why lifties don't want the knuckledraggers to get the free-drag!

Makes sense. For the record, I only grab the frame or the board carriers like on 7th.

Is the snow screwed?

The Whistler peaks didn't open until today (from Sunday).

Temps hit four degrees on Whistler peak, two degrees on Horstman. Roundhouse hit eight degrees.

Pretty soon Whistler will have a year round bike park as well.

Is the snow screwed?

depends what your definition of screwed is…..from first thing this morning on peak, top of Surprise. The rest of the alpine didn't look much better, at least it was going to turn to slush later today with 7 degree temps forecast…

My definition was turned to mush followed my freezing followed by a a light dusting followed by breakable crust. Good on you for going skiing though. Looks like we are 1/3 of the way into my definition of screwed

we stuck to groomers, and even then, I'll wait till the afternoon tomorrow to sneak out for a couple of lunch laps so it warms/softens up…
