Just got this email from them:

We're Opening Early!

Whistler Blackcomb is opening ahead of schedule on Saturday, November 22. The decision to kick off the winter season early was made possible after natural snowfall at higher elevations was followed by a streak of below average temperatures, providing prime conditions for snowmaking. Whistler Mountain will open with five lifts running. Guests will have the option to upload from either the base of Whistler Mountain via the Whistler Village Gondola, featuring brand new cabins, or the Creekside base via the Creekside Gondola. Yup, I think anyone heading up there should be taking their rock skis.

Gong show on a few deadly white ribbons of death??? Get skied off the shoulder into dirt and rock anyone? _ Runs set to open will include Upper and Lower Ego Bowl, Upper Whiskey Jack, Upper Franz[HTML_REMOVED]#8217;s, Papoose, Orange Peel and Pony Trail. There will also be a small terrain park accessible from the top of the Emerald Express chair. _

As expected, a total shit show, but still fun to get out.

Does anyone know when the demo tents open up? I want a new board this year but want to try a few out first.

Just got my RFID card in the mail… it feels like a flimsy business card - isn't this thing going to get soggy and bent, etc?
