I just ski on whatever I can get for cost off my ski industry friend or for cheap.
So its been Salomon and Bluehouse. The latter closing up shop last year. Liked them because they built the skis in Utah, just like Volie. Made in North America is important to this consumerif possible.

Me too and I like the Vector BC in 170 I bought for self motivated muckin' around in the local glop alot and I guess will use them at resorts if it's fresh if I have to but would like to lose the scales underfoot for when it's firmer conditions.

all jokes aside, the v6 looks pretty decent….I kind of feel like you shouldn't go under 100mm unless your into wearing spandex. The extra width is nice when inevitably you find yourself in deeper snow, and it isn't really wide enough to be a huge inconvenience.

95-105 is the magic numbers for me. I find much bigger not that much of an advantage in the deep.

Have some 109 goliaths for when its time to break out the big stix on a crazy big day

had some 125s megawatts and hated how much float they gave you.

The plot thickens! Here's the deal….or not…..

These skis were originally sold for Cdn.$679.00, mounted, skied, returned, binders yanked off and are being discounted to $509.00. Savings of some $170.00.

Since first phone call a 2nd pair of brand new in-the-wrapper V6 have now materialized and being held with first used pair at member services until Sat. noonish for my perusal.

However, said new pair are being sold at a new price reflecting the plucked state of our Loonie, some $789.00.

So, do I have any leverage arguing that a $170.00 discount is poor value for the used skis when they can counter that I wasn't the original purchaser and that discount price is actually reflective of a savings of some $280.00 off the new pair?

For the most part I find the big rockered skis almost boring in the pow. Last cat skiing trip I had way more fun skiing on a 110 underfoot, very little sidecut ski(Salomon Czar).The ski dives a bit deeper and and with a bigger turning radius (44m) more challenging.
Ski them all the time when not using the AT setup.

I really haven't really used my big 117 wide reverse camber Bluehouse maestros since.
