Early season lasts until?
Bit of a dice roll for someone with a rigid two days off a wk and the long drive from van.
Assume the days on the card give some discount?

Freedom of contract. We sell them guns that kill them; they sell us drugs that kill us.

If you bought a 5/10 day EDGE card in the spring (prior to May 2, 2016) you get unlimited early season skiing from opening day to December 16. In 2013 and 2014 they extended the early season one week because of shitty early season conditions, last year they did not extend it.

If you buy the EDGE card in the summer/fall you only get one free early season day.

I've been doing the 10 day EDGE + $79 spring add-on the last few years. My math says I need to go over 25 days for a season pass to make financial sense and lately I've been hitting low 20's. As a weekend warrior that likes to get a few Baker days and an interior trip, it's hard to go over 25 days at WB.

I bought last spring.
The idea was capitalize on Early Season, get a few winter days in. Disappear for sometime. Back back out there around Spring Break

Why slag free swag?

Been reading rumours online that WB is opening this weekend. Looking at the past 4 years, all with early openings, 3 of those years were Saturday openings announced on a Tuesday. One was a Thursday announced on the previous Thursday.

So we should know pretty quick if they are going this Saturday or not… I would be stoked to hit a couple groomers then skin a few laps in glacier and Whistler bowls.

There's almost zero snow below 1600m. Need to get red before they can open.

Opening Wednesday. Might go Thursday for a few runs. Break in my shins. Nordic will be a while. No snow there yet other than a short track of last years snow that they stashed in a ditch all summer.

Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Looks favourable for a bunch of snow this week and possibly OK visibility on the weekend. Looking forward to some lazy in-bounds lift assisted touring!

Looks like it's been a good first couple of days!

Heading up tomorrow (Friday), any word on if more lifts will open or will it just be the usual gong show on Red, Emerald and Excaliber?
