Everyone is saying I should retire my current skis and get ones more suited for me. Am about 6'3"-6'3 1/2" running 170cm skis, I mostly do back country, what do my NSMB buddies think?
Should I retire my skis?
not enough information but you always need new skis
What information do you need m8?
what are you on now ,what do you weigh ,what kind of boots do you have what kind of skier are you ,how much money you got?
Atomic something, 185lb, dont know, love the back country, whatever I want for x-mas. You dont really need this info. I was just wondering if ill have more fun skiing, more control, and overall be better if I get skis more suited for me and my style?
yes

Actually it kind of info that would be handy.
If you are a weight weenie, rando-race guy that is trying to bag peaks you'll want a different ski than a someone that hunts out powder fields.
170 is kind of short for your height and weight but what do I know: I'm 6'2" 200lbs and have 174cm Saloman Scramblers as my ligtherweight backcountry skis with Fritchies.
My big sticks are 193 Fischer Watea 101s with Barons.
Both are for different kinds of skiing.
Buy these
